Bodycam Footage Shows Moment Knife-Wielding MANIAC Attacks Police

In this shocking video first aired on a recent episode of the BBC’s Crimewatch show, we see shocking evidence of just how unexpected – and dangerous – life can be in England as a front-line police officer.

This is footage from a bodycam – a shoulder mounted camera that the police use to record incidents that they can later use in court as evidence to be used against defendants who may deny that they committed the crimes they are accused of.

In the video, officers Alex Prentice and Debbie Wishart are called out to an incident in the village of Corby in the English county of Nottinghamshire.

They’re not there to arrest Robin Hood for stealing from the rich to give to the poor, however.

No, in this shocking bodycam footage, they’ve been called to the house of Lee Vickers.

When they approach Vickers on the doorstep, they have no idea what is about to happen.

“It is not the first time we have had to deal with an incident like this but it is the first time I have been hit on the stab vest,” Prentice told Crimewatch.

“If the knife had been two to three inches higher it would have caught me in the neck

It’s not something we come across every day. Even though you prepare for these situations, they are still difficult to deal with.”

Both officers received awards for bravery after the incident.

Vickers, on the other hand, got what he deserved – three and a half years years in jail.
